Woonam Kim is an Associate Professor in the 3D Computer Animation department at Emily Carr University of Art + Design Born and raised in South Korea, Woonam studied Korean Literature before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental Animation at California Institute of the Arts. Before joining ECU, Woonam worked as an animator and CG artist for studios including Industrial Light and Magic, Digital Domain, and Microsoft Game Studios. His visual effects credits include Star Wars: Episode III, War of the Worlds, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Thor, and Ender's Game. Woonam's expertise includes character animation, layout, pre-visualization, and game development.
