Curri-Spot: Artphil's Personalized
Portfolio System

Curri-spot

At Artphil, every creative journey begins with understanding
the individual student.

Curri-Spot is Artphil's proprietary portfolio development system, designed to assess each student's academic background,

level of study, creative interests, and future goals.

Based on this assessment, students follow a personalized learning pathway and portfolio

plan tailored to their individual strengths and aspirations.

Continuously reviewed and refined by our faculty for more than 36 years, Curri-Spot has evolved into a distinctive educational system that supports thoughtful, individualized portfolio development.

"How does the Curri-Spot

in our institute?"

1 . Curri-Spot

Each Spot represents a specific level of project difficulty.

The number of Spots provides a simple way to determine the expected workload and class time.

2 . Course

Course 커리스팟코스

The Curri-Spot system consists of four progressive levels, each offering ten specialized learning modules across different subject areas. Students advance through the program according to their individual skills, educational background, and level of experience.

3 . Student's Spot

Guided by their instructors, students select the learning modules best suited to their abilities and goals. Upon completing all the Spots within their current level, they progress to the next level.

Personalized One-on-One Mentorship

Whether students have a background in art or are just beginning their creative journey, each student's personalized “ Curriculum recipe” is carefully developed to reflect their individual strengths, experience, and goals.

This tailored approach enables students to develop their skills efficiently while building a portfolio that reflects their unique creative identity.

  4 . Recommended Class Ratio

Recommended Class Ratio

Students are assigned learning modules that correspond to their individual level and stage of development.

The color- coded chart illustrates the recommended distribution of subjects for each level.

This framework is designed to support students from a wide range of backgrounds, including first year BFA applicants, transfer and MFA applicants, to those with little or no previous art experience.

It  provides an appropriate learning pathway for every stage of development

  5 . Course Credit System
